Itinerary (Leh - Uleytokpo - Pangong - Khardongla) |

Day 1: Delhi - Leh |
|
On arrival, meet and assistance and transfer to hotel. Spend the day acclimatizing. In the evening, take a walk uptoSamker Gompa & Leh Bazaar. This 18th century Gompa belongs to the Yellow Sect and is the seat of the head of the sect. The temple is unique with images of Sakyamuni, Avalokiteshwara, Padmasambhava, Tson-Ka-pa and green Tara on the walls. Also visit Leh temple and Leh Polo Ground. All meals and overnight stay at the hotel. |

Day 2: Leh - Uleytokpo (70 kms - One way / 3040 mtrs) |
|
Depart from Leh for Uleytokpo, en route visiting the village of Nimo, photostop at River Zanskar, Basgo Fort &Likir Monastery. Likir is owned by the Ge-Lung-Pa sect and also provides a school for young Lamas. Move over to watch the Indus River and post-lunch proceed by drive to Alchi Gompa, which is also known as Chos-Kor or Religious Enclave. It has five Buddha temples with fine woodcarvings, other artworks as well as murals dating from 11th and 12th centuries. Arrive at Uleytokpo and check-into resort for overnight stay. |

Day 3: Uleytokpo - Leh |
|
After refreshments early morning, visit Rizong Monastery, which has a monastery as well as nunnery. Return to camp for breakfast. Depart for Leh, en route visiting Phyang Monastery (17 kms from Leh), which was built by Tashi Namgyal in 16th century AD and belongs to the Red Cap Sect of Buddhists. Have an early lunch and continue to Leh. On arrival, check into hotel and spend the day at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel. |

Day 4: Leh - Pangong (290 km / Oneway) |
|
After early breakfast, transfer to Pangong Lake. Pass through Changla Pass (5486 mtrs) and enjoy the views of the villages below the pass. En route a picnic lunch is organised at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive at Durbuk and take another short drive to the western shore of the lake. Post dinner, stay overnight at hotel / camp in Pangong. |

Day 5: Pangong - Leh |
|
Spend the day at leisure, enjoying the scenic views of the Pangong Lake. It is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 kms with around half of the water body falling under China. Return to Leh for dinner and overnight stay. |

Day 6: Leh - Khardongla - Leh |
|
Enjoy a day excursion to Khardongla Pass, the highest motorable pass in the world, recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Return to Leh for dinner and overnight stay. |

Day 7: Leh - Delhi |
|
Transfer to Leh Airport for return journey. |
